******WORK SCHEDUEL UPDATED 12TH JUNE *************

Here we are then a copy of the work schedule starting from a week tomorrow.  Above you'll find the rooms that they wish completed and the dates that the work should be done by if we push hard!! We're sleeping  in room 315 down the bottom and you see we're due to leave before they'll get all of it done (we return july27th)
 Now when we say room, I shall now explain what is meant by a "room". A single which we stay in comprises of a kitchenette and small walk in wardrobe, a large room where the bed is and space for a few chairs and then a small shower room. A double is the same but with an separate bedroom and of course a far larger walk in wardrobe. So the above shows that two single apartments and one double should be completed every two weeks. We aim to

•  Paint,
•  varnish doors and window ledges
•  replace skirting boards
•  replace broken tiles or retile completely if needed
•  regrout bathrooms and delimescale tiles and shower trays
•  new carpets or hard floor and also give new blinds 

After these things are done by a team of about 7/10 of us we then wait with baited breath for the home office to inspect and sign of each room. Quality control!! So this week we have two rooms (single and double) waiting to be signed off, the corridor, bin room, hall kitchen to finish before we start the list above. Which I'm sure we'll manage, hopefully! This end of the week it seems like a lot to do.
So i plan on keeping you up to date on this page with how we're doing on the schedule above ( yawn for you i know!) and with the work photos. Hope it makes some sense!

WEEK OF....

• 25 FEB - 8 MARCH COMPLETED, 3 ROOMS SIGNED OFF ALL WITHIN THE TWO WEEKS!

• MARCH 11th - 22nd, 3 ROOMS SIGNED OFF AND COMPLETED BY THE THURSDAY OF WEEK 2, 
• MARCH 25th- APRIL 5th THE LAST ROOMS ON THIS CORRIDOR WERE SIGNED OFF BY THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 4.30 PHEW! THE REASON FOR THIS WAS THAT DUE TO CERTAIN REASON THE TEAM WAS THREE PEOPLE DOWN LEAVING 3 OF US LEFT THAT DO THE FINISHING DETAILS. THANKFULLY WE HAVE A LITTLE MORE HELP THIS WEEK AND NOW START WORK ON THE CORRIDOR ITSELF AND THE SMALL ROOMS OFF IT LIKE, BIN ROOMS ETC. TWO WEEKS TO COMPLETE LETS SEE HOW WE GO! • APRIL 8TH-19TH WORK COMPETED ON TIME!!!!! WOHOO

 

• APRIL22-3RD MAY WORK COMPLETED BY THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH TWO SINGLES AND DOUBLE, ONE GUEST ROOM ALSO FULLY FURNISHED AND THE NEXT THREE ROOMS PREPPED READY TO START TOMORROW MORNING WITH THE TEAM BACK TO ITS PROPER SIZE WOHOO!! 
• MAY 6TH-17TH ALL WORK COMPLETED DESPITE TEAM REDUCED AGAIN AND EXTRA WORK NOW ADDED OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS AS THERE ARE MANY CRACKS RUNNING THROUGH THE CONCRETE SLAB WHICH HAS CRACKED MANY TILES IN KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS. THIS NOW MEANS SEVERAL ROOMS HAVE TILING TO BE DONE. BOTH LESTER AND ANNE ARE UP FOR THE JOB SO ALL WILL BE MANAGED. SO WITH A KITCHEN NEEDING RE-TILING AND TEAM DOWN 2 WE STILL MANAGED TO COMPLETE ALL ROOMS ON TIME.. .
•  MAY 20TH-31ST WE'RE A FEW DAYS OFF COMPLETING THESE ROOMS WITH A KITCHEN AND BATHROOM RE-TILED AND WE'RE ONLY 1/3 OF THE WAY THROUGH THE TWO WEEKS!ALSO AS OF LAST FRIDAY TEAM HAS BEEN RETURNED TO THE FULL SIZE FOR GOOD. 
• JUNE 3RD-14TH  YOU FIND US IN NEARING THE END NOW OF THIS BATCH OF WORK AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE SCHEDULE WE NORMALLY HAVE TWO WEEKS FOR THE HALL WAY ALONE NOW YOU FIND US DOING THE HALL WAY AND TWO SINGLE ROOMS IN TWO WEEKS ALONG WITH THE FAMILY KITCHEN, BATHROOM AND TRUNK ROOM. WE ARE ALMOST THERE THIS LEAVES IS HAVING COMPETED TWO FULL HALL WAYS IN OUR STAY SO FAR AND ALL 27 ROOMS OFF THEM! PHEW!
